OKLAHOMA CITY - It is a serious warning coming from Oklahoma Senator Jim Inhofe as he warns of the potential of another attack on American soil. The senator sat down with Fox 25 to talk about a variety of topics, but as ranking member of the Senate Armed Services Committee, the top issue was national security.
“We're in the most dangerous position we've ever been in as a nation,” Senator Inhofe told Fox 25's Phil Cross.
“ISIS, they are really bad terrorists, they're so bad even Al Qaida is afraid of them,” Inhofe said reflecting on the recent beheading of American journalist James Foley. Beyond the beheading, Inhofe said the current terror organizations are not going to stay contained to the Middle East. “They're crazy out there and they're rapidly developing a method of blowing up a major U.S. city and people just can't believe that's happening.”
Inhofe blames policy decisions from the Obama administration and cuts in defense spending for putting the country in what he calls a dangerous situation.
“He's [President Obama] going to have to come up with something that we're going to do because they're holding another hostage in place and the problem is, the President says all these things and he never does them,” Inhofe said.
Inhofe said he hopes after the mid-term elections there will be more Republicans in the Senate and more of a willingness for both parties to work on restoring cuts to defense spending.

There is another chilling Chicago connection in the battle between the US. and extreme Islamic militants isil (ISIS).
First there’s the beheading of the journalist who was the Northwestern graduate.
Now WGN Investigates has found an online war of words and disturbing images that includes an implied threat to a Chicago landmark building.
It’s a nasty, sometimes horrible back and forth coming on the heels of U.S. bombing of ISIS forces in Iraq involving Facebook and Twitter pages with titles like, #AMessageFromISIStoUS and vice versa.
Near the top of this tit for tat is the gruesome video and pictures of journalist James Foley’s beheading.
Some Americans posted on the site disgusting photoshopped images Islamic religious leaders having sex with animals and images of U.S. firepower.
They’re reacting to one of the tweets which shows the ISIS flag in front of the White House.
But scroll down a little farther and you see a picture that might look familiar. Not the writing, which appears to be in Arabic, but the building in the background. That’s on Michigan Ave.
307 N. Michigan Ave to be precise. It’s at the corner of Michigan and South Water Street and it’s called the Old Republic Building.
What we found online was stunning. So we brought it to the attention of the building security team. The apparent message in this photo dated June 20th of this summer, is “soldiers of the Islamic state of Iraq and Syria will pass from here soon.”
Other tweets show the same two pictures saying “we are in your state/ we are in your cities / we are in your streets. You are our goals anywhere.”
More tweets say “we are here #america near our #target sooooooooooooon.”
No one in security at the Old Republic Building would comment, nor did the secret service, the FBI, or Chicago police.
So we don’t yet know who posted the picture in Chicago or why they chose that location.

For years, I have been warning of the growing jihad movement, and for years, the enemedia ignored that threat. Now they talk about the Islamic State without so much as a fundamental understanding of the jihadic doctrine.
I watch the coverage and I want to throw up.
You cannot defeat an enemy you cannot name.
As for Obama's strategy, the State Department rejects the Islamic State's declaration that they are at war with the US. You can't make this stuff up.

The top Republican on the Senate Armed Services Committee said Sunni militants are working on the capability to wipe out a city inside the United States.
The Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS) has long threatened to carry out a catastrophic attack on American soil, with a spokesman recently boasting that the militant group would fly its flag over the White House.
Sen. James Inhofe (R-Okla.) said ISIS members are "rapidly developing a method of blowing up a major U.S. city and people just can't believe that's happening." "Yes, it's really significant what's happening," he added during a local television interview on Wednesday.
President Obama has stepped up U.S. air attacks against the group in Iraq after it posted a video online showing the execution of American photojournalist James Foley.

On Thursday, U.S. Central Command announced it had completed six more attacks near the Mosul Dam, making a total of 90 strikes since Obama authorized them on Aug. 8.
Inhofe said that, despite the pounding by U.S. forces, ISIS could still inspire followers to attack stateside.
He also slammed the president for not coming up with a strategy to defeat ISIS.
"He's going to have to come up with something that we're going to do because they're holding another hostage in place and the problem is the president, quite frankly, says all these things and he never does them," Inhofe said.
ISIS is believed to be holding at least four other U.S. prisoners, including journalist Steven Joel Sotloff, who appeared in the ISIS video showing Foley's execution. The man speaking in that video threatened that Sotloff would be killed next.

Although the White House believes that the Islamic States is not a threat to the U.S., it’s obvious that the increasingly large group of jihadists are confident they will fly their flag on American soil.
In fact, the State Department has laughed off ISIS and ISIL warnings that they are at war with America, assuring that their violence is not directed at any particular country or race:

“Well, they can say whatever they’d like, but what I am making clear is that’s not what ISIL represents. And they don’t represent any religion. They are at war with everybody they come into contact with,” State Department spokeswoman Marie Harf objected.

One Senator is taking the threats seriously, warning that ISIS will attempt to carry out an attack on a major U.S. city:

“We’re in the most dangerous position we’ve ever been in as a nation,” Sen. Jim Inhofe (R-OK) told Fox 25′s Phil Cross.

Inhofe stresses the dangerous consequences that could follow Obama’s foreign policy decisions, inaction, and major military defense spending cuts that have left America so vulnerable towards instability in the Middle East.

“He’s [President Obama] going to have to come up with something that we’re going to do because they’re holding another hostage in place and the problem is, the President says all these things and he never does them,” Inhofe said.

With ISIS possibly holding at least four other U.S. citizens hostage, Obama must act, or we will see more Foley-style beheadings.
Inhofe concluded by saying he hopes mid-term elections will result in more Republicans in the Senate to restore funding to our military.

Slain journalist James Foley studied his craft in the Chicago area, earning a master's degree from the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University. For a time he was a teacher in the Cook County Jail boot camp program. He was familiar with the streets of Chicago. So, apparently, is the Islamic State that beheaded him.
An anonymous tweet has an attached photo showing a message written in Arabic. The note is dated June 20 and is being held up in front of the Old Republic building on Chicago's Michigan Avenue. Dubbed the Magnificent Mile, a shopping mecca, Michigan Avenue is another symbol of what, from a radical Islamist perspective, is wrong with Western culture and civilization.
The text reads: "We are in your state, we are in your cities, we are in your streets, you are our goals anywhere." It adds the hashtag #AmessagefromISIStoUS.

Certainly Islamic State has proved adept at using social media to threaten its future targets and recruit sympathizers and members.
It would be easy to dismiss this as a stunt with no real significance, except that it echoes promises that Islamic State and its sympathizers have already made, including to fly their black flag over the White House, currently occupied by another former Chicago resident, President Obama. Also attached to this tweet is a photo of the White House.
"Many terror organizations refer to Chicago as Obama Town," according to CBS Chicago security expert Ross Rice, a former FBI agent assigned to the Windy City. Islamists remember that Osama bin Laden was killed on Obama's watch as drone strikes disrupted and decapitated their terrorist networks, he notes.
In a joint bulletin issued with the FBI on Friday, the Department of Homeland Security warned local, county and state law enforcement agencies to be on the lookout for signs of activity by the IS and its sympathizers. We are reminded of the Tsarnaev brothers and Tamerlan Tsarnaev's time spent in the terrorist-infested Russian republic of Dagestan before returning to bomb the Boston Marathon last year.
There is apparently is no shortage of American recruits for terrorism. American suicide bomber Moner Mohammad Abu-Salha, who grew up in Florida, returned to the U.S. undetected after receiving terrorist training in Syria. He later journeyed back to Syria, where he allegedly drove a truck packed with explosives into a crowded restaurant.
There is also no shortage of Western passport holders who have joined Islamic State.
"They are one plane ticket away from U.S. shores, and that's why we're concerned about it," Rep. Mike Rogers, R-Mich., chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, said Sunday.
As many as 3,000 members of IS have U.S. or European passports and could slip into America without notice, Rep. Mac Thornberry, R-Texas, vice chairman of the House Armed Services Committee, told CNN on Friday.
British ambassador to the U.S. Peter Westmacott, in the aftermath of Foley's beheading, noted that the executioner seemingly had a British accent and is possibly a British citizen. Westmacott also said that roughly 500 Britons have joined Islamic State, with British authorities apprehending 60 or 70 of them who returned home with intent to do harm.
Islamic State might not even need passports to enter America. In fact, as we noted earlier month when we reported that five IS-linked American Muslim converts had been arrested, they are already here.
"I think there is the obvious great concern because of the condition of the border from the standpoint of it not being secure and us not knowing who is penetrating across, that individuals from ISIS or other terrorist states could be" in the U.S., Texas Gov. Rick Perry said at an event held by the Heritage Foundation and National Review in Washington, D.C.
They might even be taking in a Cubs game.

U.S. Senator Jim Inhofe (R-Okla.) said this week that the Islamic State terror group is quickly developing a way to blow up a major U.S. city.
The Senator, who serves as the ranking member of the Senate Armed Services Committee, said in an interview Wednesday with KOKH-TV that the threat is real.
“They’re crazy out there and they’re rapidly developing a method of blowing up a major U.S. city,” he said. “People just can’t believe that’s happening.”

Inhofe described the group as “really bad terrorists,” saying they are “so bad even Al-Qaeda is afraid of them.’

Earlier this week, the terror group released graphic footage showing one of their militants beheading an American journalist. Obama condemned it as an “act of violence that shocks the conscience of the entire world.”

Princeton University professor Robert George warned Wednesday that the Islamic State will carry out “mass slaughter in the United States” if it is not soon “destroyed as a fighting force.”
“They have every intention of getting [to the United States], and these are people who achieve what they set out to achieve,” George said on The Glenn Beck Program with guest host Dana Loesch. “Unless somebody stops them, they make good on their threats. They have threatened to carry out activity in the United States — killing people, mass slaughter in the United States.”
“Believe me, I plead with you, I want your listeners to believe me — these people will do it if they can,” George continued. “And they will be able to do it unless we stop them.”

The Princeton professor described the Islamic State as “genocidal,” saying: “They mean to wipe out entire communities, and there is nothing they will stop short of when it comes to achieving their goal.”
“Our well-being, our security, our place in the world are vitally threatened by ISIS and ISIL,” he said. “They will stop at nothing … in order to destroy anyone standing in their way so that they can establish the caliphate.”
George advocated working with the international community to supply air support, as well as strategic and intelligence support, to Kurdish forces, Sunni tribesmen, and other local forces resisting the Islamic State. He also advocated airstrikes against Islamic State strongholds.
George said “we’re going to have to fight them eventually.” The only question is whether we do it in Iraq, or wait “until they’re carrying out terrorist activity within the United States.”
