    ELOY, Ariz. -
A car wash for semi trucks along the I-10 in Pinal County. They look harmless from the outside, but deputies in Pinal County say car washes were being used as fronts to deal drugs to truck drivers.

The sting operation landed more than a dozen people in jail.

Deputies say the truckers would buy meth or cocaine to stay awake during long road trips. Detectives went undercover to bust these guys.

"This is very unusual we hadn't seen this before," says Pinal County Sheriff Paul Babeu.

Babeu says some semi-truck washing businesses were used as a front to sell cocaine and meth. Those truckers then drove through the valley on I-10.

"When you hear of a pilot of an aircraft or somebody on a train or a bus driving under the influence, well this is just as dangerous. Imagine all the families that are out there," says Babeu.

15 people were arrested by Pinal County deputies. Two of them are the actual business owners. Four of them are in the country illegally.

Deputies say most of the drugs were being sold out of five truck washing places in Eloy and Toltec.

We talked to an employee at Eloy Show Truck Polishing who didn't want to give his name. Deputies say that's one of the shops they busted.

He says not everyone who works there sells drugs. He says he spends his days in the heat, polishing the trucks.

Willie Jordan says most truck washing businesses in the area are legitimate. He hopes a few bad apples don't spoil it for everyone else.

"This is the real world, we work hard out here for our living," says Jordan. "Clean them up, that's what you need to do."

The undercover agents posed as truck drivers to catch the drug dealers. Along with nearly 25 grams of meth and 10 grams of cocaine, they also seized $26,000 in cash.
