[b]LOS ANGELES â€â€
I wonder what the pro-illegal crowd has to say about this?

Looong time ago, the Los Angeles Times printed a story from the Census about the numbers of illegal aliens in the United States. About year 2000. The Census said there were 11 million illegal aliens in the U.S. while there were probably another two million who cannot be counted for statistical reasons. That calculus statistical system works well, and I would bet a bunch who ever issued that was correct. The Immigration Service was suggesting there were under five million with, perhaps, an error of about 1 million. I was struggling with this issue in the New York Times Abuzz as a resident of Southern California. A friend, who was African American, was watching Compton as it was taken over by illegal aliens and all the efforts of Compton began going down the drain in his opinion. We are still in the fight. But we asked the immigration service why there was such a huge difference in numbers, and the immigration said, “They have their numbers, and we have ours. And that was it. And my dedication has grown every days since then.
The L.A. Time had a forum that came up saying.. isn’t diversity wonderful, and “Oh what color the new Mexican Immigrants add to the landscape of Los Angeles. I would have called them illegal aliens, and I would have called it graffiti. In addition, I had already been robbed in my car by an illegal alien as I went through Compton. In addition, I had already been hit by an illegal alien in an old junker in Orange Country and that guy just headed back for Mexico. I came up in that forum fighting, and the Los Angeles Times simply dropped it.
NOT wonderful to me.
The Los Angeles Times has supported if not demanded the Cities position of making Los Angeles a ‘refugee’ city. They have published long and hard on the immigration matter, and very, very pro immigration. MY theory has always been that they own a lot of the real-estate in Los Angeles, and have made a lot of money doing what they did. But in addition, if you go up to Roseburg, Or, you discover that lumber mill/pulp plant has hired a huge amount of illegal aliens and that pulp use to head for the Times/Mirror pulp plant in Oregon City.
FOX News may be taking on a very, very powerful adversary in the Los Angeles Times. It could get interesting.

I am glad that they are. There are many, many immigration problems that the mainstream media ignore, such as The Los Angeles Times, and The New York Times, just to name two of the many. FOX news might force their hand by "educating" the population and causing people to ask questions.
Meanwhile, back at the ranch, most newspapers have their heads blithely suck in the sand.
Well, there's a radio station taking on the Arizona newspaper that is trying to label MMP "racist." I'll post it in a few minutes.Quote:
