Egypt: Intruders will have broken legs

Egypt warns that it will 'break the legs' of anyone who dares to enter the country from its border with the besieged Gaza Strip.

In a televised speech on Tuesday, Egypt's Foreign Minister Ahmed Aboul Gheit said his country only allowed Palestinians to cross the border when the Israeli blockade of the Gaza Strip raised fears of a humanitarian crisis.

He added, however, that his country could no longer tolerate violations of its borders and therefore 'anyone who breaches the border will have their legs broken'.

Aboul Gheit also lashed out at the Zionist regime for the agony and hardship it is causing the Gazans, saying that they have imposed collective punishment on a territory which is home to 1.5 million Palestinians.

The Zionist regime imposed a blockade on Gaza on January 23; the Hamas took control of the Strip in June.
