El Paso City Council to vote on resolution that touches on border wall

The El Paso City Council will vote whether to adopt a resolution denouncing the presidential executive order to build a border wall.
The discussion has been going on since Jan. 25, when President Donald Trump signed that executive order. An action that would likely impact our sister cities.
The city will look into what benefits the border wall could bring to El Paso and what are the most popular concerns for residents in the area.
The possible resolution states the City of El Paso recognizes the stigma and harm the high security wall could bring. It also says, "The construction of a border wall would waste an enormous amount of taxpayer money, hurt the environment, contribute to climate change, divide ancestral native lands…"
