EXCLUSIVE — Trump Aide Stephen Miller Holds Court on H-1B

WASHINGTON, D.C. – President Donald Trump’s senior adviser Stephen Miller held a closed door meeting this week at the White House to discuss the controversial H-1B foreign guest worker visa program.

Attorney Sara Blackwell tells Breitbart Texas exclusively that she attended a meeting set up by Miller, saying that Trump was initially expected to attend. Blackwell represents Americans fired by U.S. companies after being told they would be replaced by H-1B labor.

“Stephen Miller was definitely in charge of the meeting,” Blackwell told Breitbart Texas. “And there’s no doubt that this is the same Stephen Miller that we’ve known that’s in the White House. He cares about this issue. He wants to amend it.”

“Since I got involved in this, Stephen Miller has cared about this issue,” Blackwell said. “And now we know, Stephen Miller still cares about this issue.”

Blackwell said the meeting largely focused on what the President and Congress could do for the H-1B visa, but said no reforms were discussed.

“It was not directed at anything,” Blackwell told Breitbart Texas. “We just met for an hour discussing H-1B. That doesn’t mean reform isn’t being discussed.”

Breitbart Texas can also confirm that Howard University Professor Ron Hira, a longtime critic of foreign guest worker visas, was in attendance at the White House meeting.

Hira previously testified before Congress against the H-1B, slamming the program as an avenue for big business to profit off cheaper, foreign labor while displacing Americans.

Under the H-1B regime, at least 85,000 new foreign workers are brought to the U.S. every year, often taking once high-paying jobs from Americans who are fired and forced to train their replacements.

Foreign workers in the U.S. often remain in the country for years, applying for green cards which are allotted to roughly one million per year.

Without the H-1B, computer science job availability in the labor market would be up 11 percent and wages in the tech industry would have increased by five percent, Breitbart News reported.

While there have been no specific reform proposals yet by the Trump White House, the Department of Justice under Attorney General Jeff Sessions’ leadership has demanded that U.S. companies not discriminate against Americans to favor foreigners, Breitbart Texas reported.

The Trump Administration has created a resource for Americans who are the victims of H-1B visa abuse to file a formal complaint, Breitbart Texas reported.

Blackwell told Breitbart Texas that the meeting was “encouraging” and she was “grateful” to discuss the issue with White House officials.

“I would attend as many times as they needed,” Blackwell said. “I’m really glad H-1B is being discussed.”

This needs to be phased out.

We need to educate, if needed, our own people.

We have plenty of educated people. Our people are more educated that any of these ruses from third world countries. It's not lack of education, it's foreign vs. American, it's slightly cheaper vs slightly higher American, it's actually independent Americans vs. yes'ms foreign.

Until every American has a job and is pushed into more over-time than they want, there should be no immigration at all.

Terminate all green card and work visas. Pass a Moratorium on All Immigration for 10 to 20 Years. You'll never ever regret it. It will be the best decision Congress ever made in my lifetime.

I do think we have educated people, but I think we need to guide our young people into the professions that are going to be needed for the future.

Yes, workers have been replaced and unfairly, but I'm not sure that many are still trying to get an education - other than the illegals. We have a lot in college that are majoring in 'some study or the other' and some that seem to be majoring in stupidity.

We have a lot of young people who aren't willing to put themselves in debt for the rest of their lives on the off chance they will get and be able to keep a job.

A lot of young people I know who are of the age to enter college, simply don't see a future in it, and I understand.

    Yes, to the moratorium.
