    Are Fake Letters Sent To Illegals A Hate Crime?

    A Colorado immigration attorney says that official looking, fake letters sent out to illegal aliens demanding that they turn themselves in is bordering on a “hate crime.â€

    No, it's not a hate crime and some people would consider it a joke.

    Save the hate crime label for real hatred and harmful behavior.

    ARE FAKE LETTERS

    Gee, I get letters all the time, promising loans, credit cards. Most are misleading if not outright lies. To send someone a letter telling them that if they are illegally present in the US to turn themselves in, sounds more like good advice to me.

    I would like a HUGE SIGN at all voting places stating " IT IS A CRIME FOR NON-CITIZENS TO VOTE" , in Spanish, English, and any others.
    But I am sure that would be against the law and might intimidate some illegal voters.

    Where I'm from this is called a "practical joke."

    I think it's very practical to inform someone who claims to not know or understand the law exactly what the law entails.
