TX Gov. Abbott Has Perfect Response For NYC Mayor Declaring Emergency Over Migrant Surge

Texas Gov. Greg Abbott gave the perfect retort to New York City Mayor Eric Adams, who has declared the surge in migrants in his city an emergency, stating that he’s still going to bus illegal migrants up there anyway.

And you know what? That’s exactly what he should do. The whole point of this is to give sanctuary cities who do a whole lot of sanctimonious preaching, but very little action, when it comes time for the rubber to meet the road, a taste of the horrific struggle border states are currently experiencing due to the border crisis, which the current administration is doing absolutely nothing about.

“Sanctuary cities like New York City experience a fraction of what Texas border communities face every day,” Abbott stated in a post on Twitter Friday. “We’ll continue busing migrants to NYC, DC, & Chicago to relieve our overwhelmed border towns until [President Joe] Biden does his job to secure the border.”

Adams declared a state of emergency concerning the migrants on Friday, going on to tell local reporters that the new influx of migrants will end up costing the city a billion dollars. Now, just imagine how much money this has cost the states along the border who have been taking the brunt of the border crisis since day one.

“This is a humanitarian crisis that started with violence and instability in South America, and it is being accelerated by American political dynamics,” Adams stated.

The state of Texas has now bused over 2,900 migrants to the city of New York since the beginning of August.

“The majority are adults, who cannot legally work in this country. Many are families with school-age children.

Some are in desperate need of serious medical care,” stated the mayor of the Big Apple. “We have not asked for this. There was never any agreement to take on the job of supporting thousands of asylum seekers. This responsibility was simply handed to us without warning as buses began showing up.”

“We’re going to do what we have to do in New York, but we do need help to deal with this crisis that we’re facing,” he added.

Again, this is a small sample of what folks have had to deal with along the border. My advice? Suck it up, buttercup. If you want this whole thing to stop, then put pressure on the Biden administration to do something about the border.
