Does the anyone remember when we had National Guard on the border?
It seems one of them shot a 'poor little 16 year old goat herder' and that ended that.
After some real investigation, it turns out this 'kid' was a lookout for the drug runners.
So pay attention to things -
Maybe the people introducing bills might be for real. As far as legal immigration, we need some changes, but 500K is too many - far too many.
We should only take in immigrants if this country is actually in need of people with those skills. We have enough people in/of this country who, if they don't possess these skills, can be trained. After all, we are spending millions, billions on educating and training illegals and immigrants - why not our own.
We are spending billions on foreign aid, if those people are not using it to better their country, stop the aid and go directly to the people.
Actually, I suspect much of foreign aid is either collusion with this country in it's wars, or using foreign aid to, in turn, buy products from our military manufacturers.
There are lots of way to skin a cat, and we are being skinned by the best.
Pay attention to lawmakers promising or putting forth bills and make sure the bills are necessary, will do what it should and will actually be enforced.
I would have a lot more faith in and respect for a lawmaker who simply stated the fact we have plenty of laws which will go along way to fixing our illegal immigration problem - start enforcing them.
Think about the many laws the illegals break, other than being here illegally. Use every law we have - they would use them against us.
Then go after the sacred cow of business/corporations and let them either obey the law or suffer the consequences.
They take the assets of people dealing drugs - on a very small level. How about corporations who are operating an ongoing criminal enterprise by hiring illegals. Let's take some corporations. OK, OK, I'm dreaming.
