Oklahoma and other states have launched immigration legislation because Congress has failed to act, former Mexico President Vicente Fox said Tuesday in Oklahoma City.

Fox, speaking at the Civic Center Music Hall, said the United States must develop a sensible national immigration policy.

“At the very end, it’s a federal issue so in the end it should be satisfied by the federal government, by the U.S. Congress,â€

Washington doesn't get it. Mexicans don't want to be citizens.
But, we have fed govt doing everything it can to give it away to people who spit on it when other people try hard to be good and wait in line.

A reasonable temporary guest worker program would solve many problems by providing documented foreign workers who need good wages for the American economy, Fox said. Fox said most Mexican immigrants don’t want to become American citizens; they want to help their family and then return to their homeland.

Got that right. Too many just want all the benefits without the responsibility of having to obey any laws and the option to run home when it gets too tough.

How long is temporary anyway? What rights should temporary workers get? Birth your babies here...work and send your money back to Mexico and have you're nice house built, while you use government welfare etc.here, educate your kids, give them grants to attend free college...get SS for your retirement and then go live peacefully in your retirement back home?
