    Securing the borders

    The White Sands Missile Range in New Mexico, the NORAD/U.S. Air Force Cheyenne Mountain Complex in Colorado and the Qinghai-Tibet railway in China have at least one thing in common.

    The tightly guarded facilities all use a Middletown company’s state-of-art intrusion detection systems.

    From its location in a nondescript business park off Oxford Valley Road, Optellios Inc. has developed FiberPatrol, a line of security products that use fiber optic cables buried in the ground or attached to fences to detect prowlers.
