Let me know if this is a dup. I tried the search feature a few diff ways.

Does ICE only work on the east coast? Seems like lately that is the only place I'm hearing about them actively working lately.

Five-day NJ sweep results in 137 arrests

NEWARK, N.J. (AP) _ Immigration agents arrested 137 fugitive aliens and immigrants who were in the country illegally in a five-day sweep around New Jersey last week, officials said Monday.

Of those arrested, 54 had ignored warrants for their removal from the United States, while 83 were illegally in the country, according to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

The immigrants are from 21 different countries, including Mexico, Honduras, Guatemala, Pakistan, Egypt, Poland, India, Slovakia, Costa Rica, Albania, Macedonia and the United Kingdom.

The arrests were part of a national effort called Operation Return to Sender. A sweep in October resulted in the arrest of 111 immigrants in New Jersey.

Quite a few OTMs in that bunch, as well as from countries of interest.

NJ is filled to the brim with OTMs.........many are islamists connected to several of the most dangerous mosques in the country.

NJ & NYC are the OTM havens.

Massachusetts is loaded with OTM's as well. What I wonder is how so many of them get the employment authorization cards and green cards, many of whom are from the middle east. Is europe so overflowing with them they are sending them here now?

I find it hard to believe that they could only find 137 in NJ, they need to look harder.

You're certainly right about that! Heck, they probably could have found that many listed in Sen. Menendez's address book.
