Community organizers march for immigration reform

    The Associated Press

FLORIDA CITY, Fla. -- Community organizers are marching from Florida City to Homestead for immigration reform.

The Florida Caravan for Immigration Reform joins Farmworker Families and Allies in Florida City and Homestead on Saturday evening to call on the federal government to stop deportations and to approve immigration reform that includes a pathway to citizenship.

Elvira Carvajal is with the Farmworker Association of Florida. She says "it's time to put an end to the nightmare of family separations."

A statement from the group says Tuesday and Thursday are national days of action for calls to Congress to support immigration reform with a path to citizenship.

    NO AMNESTY

Don't reward the criminal actions of millions of illegal aliens by giving them citizenship.
