    FROM STAFF REPORTS

VICTORVILLE — An illegal alien with previous criminal convictions, pleaded guilty Thursday to forgery in connection with identity theft and buying a home under someone else’s name, prosecutors said.

Fanny Velasquez, 54, was sentenced to 16 months in state prison but received credit for time served from Superior Court Judge Margaret Powers.

Velasquez will now be released to Immigration and Customs Enforcement and deported to Columbia, said Senior Investigator Ron Miller.

Velasquez was arrested in Fontana in April 2007 at a Fontana glass shop she operated and has been in jail for 17 months Miller said.

"In 2007, ICE, brought formal immigration charges against 164,000 immigrants who are behind bars nationwide for crimes committed in this country."

Lots of taxes spent feeding and housing criminal illegal alien invaders and
that is just what ICE had jailed not state, county and local jails and prisons.

Investigators discovered Velasquez stole the victim's identity and was living in one of the homes with her family.
Now this must be this website's dumbest criminal of the day, maybe the entire month!

Seems to me, the identity theft victim should rightfully now find herself with the two homes, the ones that are l;egally in her name. It should work that way, but only if she wants them

Velasquez has been arrested at least two other times in San Bernardino County, according to court records. Once for petty theft in August 2002 and again for forgery in 2003 where she served 30 days in jail and as part of her agreement would not remain or reenter the U.S. without proper written authorization by the Department of Immigration and Naturalization, according to court records.
So this woman has priors and yet continues to re-enter this country to commit crimes! Why are they not going after this a scofflaw with the max. I thought it was punishable by up to twenty years in prison for someone to re-enter this country after a formal letter of deportation has been issued against them!

She will be back by Christmas time!!
