Border Patrol agents discovered more than 1,000 pounds of marijuana in an abandoned house on the Tohono O'odham Nation Monday morning.

Agents followed footprints going north from the border until they reached a house near Pisinemo, Arizona, said Shannon Stevens, spokesperson for the Border Patrol's Tucson Sector. They found 71 bundles of marijuana weighing 1,267 pounds, she said. They didn't make any arrests.

Pisinemo is located on the Tohono O'odham Nation off Federal Route 21 south of Arizona 86 and east of the Organ Pipe National Monument.

The load has an estimated street value of $633,500, using figures from the Arizona High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area, the federal anti-drug analysis and intelligence center.

Since Oct. 1, agents in the Tucson Sector have seized 98,591 pounds of marijuana, 20 percent more than it had seized at the same time in fiscal year 2006.

Are the Tohono friendly with the Illegals and allowing them to trespass and use their land?
