Well, isn't this just ducky...

Former ICE agent joins law firm that defends immigrants

ST. PAUL (AP) - A former immigration enforcement agent is now working for a law firm that helps immigrants.

Mark Cangemi (can-JEM-ee) stopped working as a special agent for Immigration and Customs Enforcement last year, as ICE special agents are required to leave the agency at age 57.

His inside view of immigration enforcement left him feeling troubled about U.S. immigration policy.

He had in ally in Minneapolis immigration attorney Herbert Igbanugo (ig-ban-ooh-go) who is known for zealously defending the people Cangemi used to investigate.

Igbanugo offered Cangemi a job leading a division in his law firm to help employers comply with immigration laws, and Cangemi took it.

Igbanugo says he always respected Cangemi's ethics in his years at ICE and says the partnership is working nicely.
