A 24-year-old Jordanian-American was sentenced to 15 years for attempting to join the Islamic State.

Alaa Saadeh, was arrested in June last year in New Jersey and plead guilty to conspiracy to provide material support to a terrorist organization in October.

He was also accused of helping his brother, Nader, travel to Syria to join ISIS in May 2015.
