President of Mexico to visit Los Angeles on May 26

President Vicente Fox of Mexico is scheduled to visit
Los Angeles on Friday May 26. Los Angeles has the
largest population of Mexican descent next to Mexico City
and is affectionately considered "The Capital of Aztlan".

President Fox will be meeting with Mayor Antonio
Villagairosa who in a hard fought campaign and after
133 years reconquered the office of "Alcalde del Pueblo
de Nuestra Señora La Reina de Los Angeles" reversing
a trend that was the result of the Mexican-American War
and over a century of political oppression and discrimination.

The president of Mexico will also be meeting with
local Mexican community organizations in a show of
solidarity. Mexico is presently in the midst of presidential
elections and there is a significant number of Mexican
voters in Los Angeles

So he's comming to visit the new capitol of his new home? Nice.

Why so many trips to the USA, mainly states that are heavily populated with Mexicans, yet no stops the Whitehouse?

He is ignoring Washington and this is a breach of age old diplomatic traditions. He is not supposed to be moving around in our nation without making a diplomatic visit to the governing authority of this nation.

The president of another country going around in our country lobbying for illegals who break our laws and our president does nothing? This country is becoming a free for all but the american citizens

I wonder if President Fox has a tourist visa or if he just crosses illegally, like most of his fellow countrymen?

William, is there any doubt that Fox is the governing authority of this nation, at least on domestic issues? He certainly holds a dominate position over Bush.

Mexico is falling apart and Fox is busy touring the US. Someone has their priorities mixed up. Hmmmm.......sounds familiar.
