GA - Statesboro Man Accused of Molesting Two Young Children

BULLOCH COUNTY, GA --

A Statesboro man is under arrest for allegedly molesting two young children.

The Bulloch County Sheriff's Office says they were notified Monday of the molestation of the two children, ages four and eight years old.

Investigators say the suspect, Luis Juan Figueroa, 63, was the children's babysitter's father.

The alleged incident occurred at a residence on Bird Road in Statesboro.

After interviewing the children, witnesses and Figueroa, authorities arrested and charged Figueroa with two counts of child molestation and two counts of sexual battery.

He is currently being held at the Bulloch County Jail without bond.

The Bulloch County Sheriff's Office says it believes Figueroa is in the U.S. illegally and they have notified Immigration and Customs Enforcement of his arrest.
