PHOENIX (AP) - A Mexican man with a long criminal history and at least four deportations from the United States since 1980 has been sentenced to more than eight years in federal prison in Arizona.

Federal prosecutors say 52-year-old Adolfo Estrella-Yuan, of Sonora, Mexico, was given a 101-month prison term Monday in U.S. District Court in Phoenix. He was convicted on Feb. 3 of illegal re-entry and given an 80-month sentence plus another 21-month term, to be served consecutively, for violating his supervised release.

Authorities say Estrella-Yuan was arrested outside Yuma last July 31. They say he has two prior immigration-related convictions and two convictions related to the molestation of young children.
