Gang pair, including dangerous deportee, arrested

    Friday, April 8, 2005 - Updated: 04:02 AM EST

Two members of the brutal East Boston-based street gang, MS-13, were busted, including a woman who had been deported for violent crimes, but managed to sneak back into the country.

The arrest of 20-year-old Dinora Chavaria marked the second arrest of an MS-13 member who returned to Boston just months after being deported for criminal convictions.

It was unclear where she was arrested, or how she got back into the United States, officials from the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency said.

Both busts are part of ``Operation Community Shield,'' a federal anti-gang initiative launched in March to target members of the gang in six cities across the nation.

The initiative is modeled after the North Shore Gang Intelligence Unit, which was started five years ago by Sgt. Detective Joseph Fiandaca in East Boston.

Another member of the East Boston-based MS-13, or Mara Salvatrucha gang, Oscar Aviles, 20, was also arrested. Chavaria and Aviles have long criminal records with entries for assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, officials said.

Sneak back into the country ?? All she had to do was saunter, tiptoe, dash, creep, or wander across the porous border (before the Minuteman Project started).

The title of the thread is misleading. It should have read Bush's favorite scumbags busted again.

Under the President's guest worker program, the BP would be able to concentrate on keeping out dangerous people rather than chasing millions most of whom are harmless.

Yea, right we will get them after they commit another murder or rape (if they don't get back across that open border 1st). Just let them come on across the border. I am begining to think you might need some help

Again, I neither stated, suggested nor implied that dangerous persons should be permitted to enter

I gather that you're an OBL? For open borders and the guest worker program?

What about the corruption in some of the BP that has been reported recently ... some of those articles are here on ALIPAC.

How does one determine if those "guest workers" aren't dangerous? "Guest workers" aren't immune from committing crimes.

Bobby would have us wait until they commit another murder or rape before they are checked.
