A Generation Gap Over Immigration
A Generation Gap Over Immigration

05-18-2010, 03:26 PM #3JD2, that is exactly what has been done in the past 25-30 years or so but it has been done by our opposition. I sincerely believe that the ruination of our educational system was done by design. Call it "political correctness" or whatever, I call it "indoctrination".

We arrived in the US during the Newark race riots, as new immigrants. We have lived in immigrant enclaves and in the suburbs. In the inner city, we helped each other with learning English, this was an absolute must. Why? Because we knew we were being exploited by our own people and the sooner we learned English, the sooner we get out from under their thumbs. We weren't stupid then and we're not stupid now. We have no patience or tolerance for those too lazy to help themselves.
My oldest, who is 18, has learned from stories she's heard from my parents, my siblings and myself. She's not stupid either and refuses to be brainwashed. Her left leaning teachers quickly learned she would not fall in with the mindless sheeple. She has a mind of her own and is not afraid to use it. She and others like her will be our future, and there are many more than we think.Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)

You know how they say; If you are young and you are not a liberal you have no heart; If you are old and are not a conservative, you have no brain.
This is kind of like the youthful heart attack as compared to the aged heart attack. Surprisingly the youthful survival rate is much less than the elder victim because the aged body has had a chance to develop many more capillaries for alternate blood flow that the young one has not developed yet. So it is with understanding the society wide economic and social implications of illegal immigration - it takes most of us years to see and understand all the negative effects.
I could continue with this heart attack idea and compare it to the US today but I give this idea to a professional writer to expound on it. The youth are not sophisticated enough to see - perhaps this analogy could explain it to them.
I know my kids are very upset. There are illegals amongst their friends and although recently I have heard verbal expression that the La Raza types among their friends will never be good trusted friends because they are too stuck in that hostility La Raza thing. So they cling to the remnants of the friendships at this time. They do not make the translation that this same hostility will carry over into the worklife and for the rest of life. They just want everybody to be friends and get along. It is the illegals who do not want to get along. The kids don't get it yet for the most part. Impressive that yours do.Restitution to Displaced Citizens First!

A Generation Gap
Older people have the wisdom of years to base opinions on. They understand that socialism, communism is bad and leads to government control of everything. Talk to the old Soviets who survived Stalin.
25 THOUSAND people a day died of starvation while Russia sold bumper crops of wheat to other countries.
The older folks understand that importing other cultures, religions, and languages will dilute the values and unity that made America the strongest country in the world. Diversity is ok as long as it does not take over and erode basic American values.
America is under attack. Not only by Islamic terrorists, but also progressive social engineers who believe America must change. Obama promised to fundamentally CHANGE America. He has stolen our pride. He has stolen our freedom. He is stealing the prosperity of this country.
Young people have not lived thru many of the disasters and horrors of past government control. They do not understand the consequences when Jesus is removed from schools, government, and all public places. Christianity is being removed from our History books and from our children's future.
In it's place will be the socialist mindset. Those who work must provide for those who do not. Our old people will be disregarded, non revenue producing drains on social programs. Young Progressive Socialists will replace the older, wiser population.

Yes and soon they will be killing us off with the new healthcare. We are useless eaters and they will be able to kill off our knowledge with us to aid their social engineering objectives. Woe to anybody who gets ill in the coming years.
I have noticed lately that many who hate organized religion say we are still better off with it than with its coming replacement.Restitution to Displaced Citizens First!

IMHO, I think this is all part and parcel of the "I want it now, give it to me" generation. My nephew and his wife, only 21 years old, neither with any money, are already wanting to buy a house and have a baby. With what money??? I have tried to have some learned discourse with them, and they are absolutely clueless!!

I agree with those post here who think all younger people donot have the wisdom older people do.
I remember when I was young and innocent I thought socialism was wonderful. Why ? because everyone would have equal access to food, medical care and a decent wage.Nothing like being young, innocent and dumber then a box of rocks on politics/social issues."A Government big enough to give you everything you want,is strong enough to take everything you have"* Thomas Jefferson

The problem is rife--
The history books were changed. Howard Zinn had his view of history accepted by academia. The books were released to the schools. White men re depicted as the epitome of evil. Every action. law or rule that was created was so the evil white man could prevail. Our children sit in class and hear about the "Trail of Tears", ( a very bad thing), and the internment of the Japanese Americans during WW2. They view it via "presentism". They are not taught to understand how the world was at the time of the happenings. They judge it through the eyes of today. The eyes of the ipod, the texter, the games player.
The subject of dropping the A bomb on Japan is taught in a way that makes us evil and desirous of genocide. No consideration whatsoever for the numbers of American and Japaneses lives that were saved by the decision. It is described in all its horror, America is blamed. It is the villain. Then they roll on to the next subject. They are taught that the Indians were good and white men were bad. It is all sustained by the fact that we did, indeed , invade America. That is, in the same sense that the Mexicans are invading us now. This , then makes it acceptable for all peoples to come here.
And not for one damned minute do they open the studies to the way the world was at the time that these things happened . They never hear about the atrocities committed on American nuns in the Philippines, or the Death March on Bataan, the Rape of Nanking. No--I fear that we will lose our country if the young folks are not taught history correctly. The good with the bad, the reason(s) for certain decisions., without that input we have bred a nation of self hating, self destructive youth who seek to redress wrongs of the past, (imagined or otherwise), by punishing themselves and their country today.
Sadly, I know a number of older Americans, men and women who know better and were taught better, who have been persuaded by their children and grandchildren that what they, and we, did was wrong. They lament and repent everything about America and in doing so, fail to see the evolution of thsi great country, its insight, its tolerance growing, its people , the most generous on the face of the earth.
And, thus , they create a division. Their inability to understand and their desire to punish, to amend , to view the happenings through a crystal facet of hate, pits one against the other.
We have been through this before. Or so our youth were taught.. The people of the South, the slave holders were so cruel and mean that we must force our will upon them at a cost of lives so high as to stagger the mind. Or so our youth were taught. And how many of our youth know about the Morrill tariff? How many Southerners owned slaves?/ Why did black Southerners fight for the CSA? It is easy for the Zin taught to spout--"They had to--they were forced". The young folks have all the answers. And we sat by and let it happen.
Is it too late for America?? Can we save the youth from themselves?? Will another civil war be the solution? One hopes not. One hopes that the illegals will return home and America can strive to restore her prosperity and wealth for all her rightful citizens.
History is replete with atrocities of man against man. The Greeks, the Romans. How can we change what happened then? Should the people of Italy, Germany or any country be punished for ancient wrongs? I submit, no! Learn from the past and move forward.
We are indeed, a country built by immigrants. We are a country of laws. Those laws must be enforced before sanity, civility and prosperity is restored. Stop this race to the breakup of the American union. America will most surely be Balkanized if we don't.
