Top spy speaks at Border Security Conference

One of the United States' top spies spoke at the border security conference at UTEP today in the hopes of encouraging diversity in recruiting.
Jose RodrĂ*guez, director of the National Clandestine Service for the CIA, chose the border security conference for his first public speech since he chose to drop his 30-year-cover.

RodrĂ*guez said he wanted to encourage diversity recruiting to improve intelligence gathering.

"I requested that my cover be rolled back so that I can speak at this conference and other conferences" about diversity recruiting, he said.

"In my service, 14 percent of the workforce are minority. We are working very hard to turn this around. Simply put, we need people with diverse ethnic backgrounds to support data collection around the world.," he said.

After his speech, RodrĂ*guez, who was born in Puerto Rico, said speaking publicly felt weird.

"Like dropping trou(sers)," he said, laughing. "I didn't do this. But it is the right thing."

His printed biography in the conference program filled one short paragraph. It said RodrĂ*guez joined the CIA in 1976 and served in Central and South America and the Caribbean. He was deputy chief of the Counternarcotics Center, director of the Counterterrorism Center, deputy director of operations for the CIA and in October 2005, led the agency's establishment of the National Clandestine Service. He has a bachelor's degree in political scoence and a law degree from the University of Florida.
Today, he said that his diverse background was as helpful to his career as it was to the agency.

That is really good to hear. We can only hope that this man can encourage more men and women from the American Latino sector to join and help in cases as he has.

    Bush is pro-immigration.

    Bush is pro-business.

Bush comes from a CIA family (his father was DCI in the 1970s).

    Business is pro-immigration.

    Business is pro-Bush.

Business is linked to the CIA — the CIA has represented American blue-blood patrician Businesses since before it was the CIA, since the days of the OSS ("Oh So Social" nickname).

    The CIA links to business...

    The CIA links to Bush...

and now we see that the CIA is "pro-diversity"... = pro-immigration...

It's not about conforming your mind to reality — but conforming reality to your mind (your mind over matter, not matter over you).
