PHOENIX - Tired of growing national disapproval, Gov. Jan Brewer struck back Tuesday night at the Obama administration and others critical of the state's new law aimed at illegal immigrants.
"Why don't they do their job and uphold their laws?" Brewer said.
"They're not enforcing federal laws," the governor continued. "And that's all our bill does."
The governor's comments came hours after U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder said his agency is reviewing the Arizona law "to decide exactly how we are going to react to it." He said the Department of Justice is "considering all possibilities, including the possibility of a court challenge."
Brewer said she is unconcerned. "It just mirrors the federal law," she said, in reference to a provision that effectively makes it a violation of Arizona law to be in this country illegally.
The statute, which will take effect in late July or early August unless first blocked by a court, lets police decide whether to prosecute those here illegally for breaking the Arizona law or simply turn them over to Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
Brewer insisted Arizona has the legal right to make being here without federal authorization a state crime.
If the federal government disagrees, she said, they should just "secure our borders and there won't be a problem."

Leviticus 19:34 The stranger who lives as a foreigner with you shall be to you as the native-born among you, and you shall love him as yourself; for you lived as foreigners in the land of Egypt. I am Yahweh your God."
I like the way you CHERRY PICK your scriptures, how about going down a little further into Leviticus:
Leviticus 25
44 “However, you may purchase male and female slaves from among the nations around you. 45 You may also purchase the children of temporary residents who live among you, including those who have been born in your land. You may treat them as your property, 46 passing them on to your children as a permanent inheritance. You may treat them as slaves, but you must never treat your fellow Israelites this way.
Does this indicate that you believe it is OK for ILLEGALS to be slaves for the ILLEGAL EMPLOYERS, the Chamber of Commerce, The Church, or any other Elitist Political Contributors for our Elitist Politicians? One may think you benefit financially from the CHEAP LABOR of the ILLEGALS.

Illegal alien sympathizers promise to challenge SB-1070 in our court system, and see if it can be declared unconstitutional. What if they succeed? Would this automatically invalidate our Federal immigration laws? The new Arizona law is almost exactly identical to our Federal laws.
Do you know what this means if it's declared unconstitutional? It means that, if a foreign-national can just succeed in breaching our borders, crossing into the US, and can manage to stay here for even just a little while, then there is no way that officers can remove this foreigner without violating their supposed civil rights.
This would teach the unwise lesson that ingenuity and craftiness in skirting around our immigration laws wins foreigners the right to stay and work in our country. This can't be right. Many thanks to Governor Brewer for taking action.

Continuing that line of thought, if the AZ law is struck down, resulting in the federal law being struck down, does that make all those amnestied in 1986 illegal?
