What has this Country came to when American Citizens are reduced to begging Elected Officials to Abide by the Constitution & Law!

Begging them not to give Amnesty to Millions of their Illegal Aliens due to the Illegal Invasion of the USA! If they had did their duty, & abided by our Constitution & Laws, there wouldn't be millions to give Amnesty to!

It is way pass time for American Citizens to start holding our Corrupt/Worthless/Lazy Politicians to some kind of Minimum Standards!

They are paid well, with Lavish offices, big Staffs, Tax paid Vacations all over the world, Big retirement benefits, Free Medical care, Perks all over the place, for what? They are not even required to show up for work or vote on bills the few months a year they are even suppose to be working!

If any Working Americans Preformed our jobs like 99% of our Elected Officials do, we wouldn’t have a job!

But we have came, almost to expect, our Politicians to be Corrupt, Lazy & Worthless or to think our State Politicians are different & it is just other States politicians or ones we do not agree with, as Corrupt or Lazy etc.

As long as they bring some pork barrel bacon back home every few years & raise more money than the opposition for attack ads to saturate the airways with political spin & lies we re-elect them!

So what do they do? They devote their time, when they do decide to work, accepting money from Lobbyist for their election or re-election!

We have given them Billions of Dollars of taxpayer’s money to reward Lobbyist with, in return for money they get back from Lobbyist for their re-election!

Sounds like a Surefire way for Corruption and the Royal Screwing of American Citizens.

We have created a Monster that is not responsible to Anyone or for Anything! The only thing they worry about is getting enough money from the Lobbyist & Special Interest to finance their next campaign.

With enough money you could elect a monkey! Don’t believe me; just look at all the Worthless monkeys we have elected! With George W. Bush being the prefect example, here is a man that has been a failure at every job or position he ever had.

I am convinced, without his Connections, Name, Family & Money, he couldn’t, hold a job in real life, as a Director of a Dog Pound! (By the way I am a Republican, or was, & voted for Jr.) Just goes to prove what enough money & good speech writers can accomplish!

It is way pass time for a serious House Cleaning in Washington DC with required Standards set & Enforced for Minimal job Performance!

1. Required Ethics training for all Citizens elected to any public office!

2. Required study of our American Constitution & American History with a passing grade before they are even allowed to run for any public office!

3. Public financing by the taxpayers with set levels for any & all Public officials at State Level or above.

4. Limited & set time on the Airways, provided by the media free to each candidate in return for the medias use of the public airways.

5. No lobbyist allowed! All Politicians are provided with a staff to write speeches, research, & provide position papers. So let them start earning their money instead of appointing wife’s, children, family & friends to make work positions, while relying on Lobbyist telling them how they should think & vote!

While the above recommendation may seem extreme to many or not inclusive enough to others, it is a start on some of the things that should be minimal requirements for public office. But it certainly could be improved by concerned and informed citizen’s participation.

Some will object that Taxpayers paying for elections would cost too much, but in reality it would save Taxpayers 100,s of billions that is wasted on Pork barrel & Corruption with the current system.

This would give American Citizens, that is not rich, a chance to serve their Country! Under the current system, only the already rich, or ones that sell out to the rich, can afford to run for public office!

The end results of the above recommendation would be a more Honest, Informed, Hardworking, Efficient, Less costly Government, serving American Citizens & Accountable to American Citizens, instead of a Corrupt Government serving the various special interests which are usually on the extreme Right or Left Wings, or Corporations & Businesses, few if any Lobbyist, lobby for anything that is in the best interest for American Citizens or this Country & certainly does not representing the vast majority of American Citizens!

But the only way anything will happen to change our present Corrupt system of Government is for informed concerned Citizens to force it to happen! No politician is going to support anything that will limit their Power, Money & Corruption, unless Citizens mandate it by voting out of office any & all the refuse to change

One problem there........Bush wasn't elected. He has never been an elected official.......money bought his way in. And Heaven knows we sure didn't put Cheney in.......he's more worthless than Bush if that is possible. It's money, corruption, who has the highest contacts with the rich.......it is up to the people to get them out.
Truthfully people, we are about to lose our country BIG TIME if we just sat around and let them have it. IT'S UP TO US TO STOP IT. But one person cannot do it alone.
I just don't know what it's going to take to get the American people mad enough that they will UNITE and fight for what is theirs.

I wonder if our voting system isn't already undermined. Now that illegals are registering to vote in some states, the system itself is under attack. More than what we are doing is going to have to be done if we are to take our country back.

This is so right. Illegal immigration is just the tip of the iceberg !

I wonder if our voting system isn't already undermined. Now that illegals are registering to vote in some states, the system itself is under attack.

Not to mention electronic voting machines.
