    H-1B = Discrimination Against Americans

ComputerWorld: In India, Gates criticizes U.S. immigration policies

    by Kevin Flanagan. Excerpt:
Labor Day marks the beginning of national discussions on the corporate visa programs that allow companies to legally bypass the US workforce. Most tech workers see this bypass and confront this bypass when they are looking for jobs. But most recent college grads will never see or confront this issue because they will never be considered for jobs their degrees qualify them to do.

This is the power of employment discrimination. This issue will be part of a national conversation on comprehensive immigration reform if we tell the truth about our own circumstances.

Get the word out, Americans -- YOU ARE BEING DISCRIMINATED AGAINST by India, Inc. Share your stories about the humiliation of training your cheap replacement from India.

Tell people about the horror stories in I.T., where fakes and phonies with H-1Bs have flooded the industry and almost destroyed it.

Talk about the Desi bodyshops and the corrupt creeps who are exploiting visa workers and shafting American techies.

    GET THE WORD OUT.

If there ever were true competition, you guys would never have made landfall. The ONLY way that a million or more H-1Bs could get hired in the sucky economy we've had over the last decade was to bypass American workers altogether and make sure they never got a chance. The bodyshops are the ratholes that most of you crawled in through, and if you got farther and did better after arriving, it was ill gotten gains on your part. The fake resumes, fudged skill sets, and hinky "consulting" companies are now well known. Blocking the pipeline and strengthening data privacy and security laws will choke off your flow. You'll have to make do with your own country like we do with ours (India is one of the most protectionistic countries around when it comes to labor flow).

    by Anon. Excerpt:
It's not just the high cost. It's knowing (from having seen what happened to their parents and their friends) what happens when skilled American workers are shut out of jobs in favor of imported foreign workers. These workers can afford to work for less because in many cases their educations were either heavily subsidized or paid for by rich foreign parents (most Indians who come here are high caste, btw). America already produces far more native STEM grads than it generates jobs for - and that was true before the recent crash. In many cases, skilled jobs are not advertised where American workers will likely see them, and the applications by American workers when they occur can legally be ignored by the companies. Instead, companies increasingly turn to dodgy foreign contingent staffing firms (bodyshops). That's where our job market went.

    by Anon. Excerpt:
and who will give these ungrateful guest workers visas. They don't even have a green card and they are already Anti-America and Anti-American.

Just read their racist comments. They think Americans are useless and don't deserve jobs.

Please Mr Guest Worker go home and practice your racism in your country and your own kind.
