    HAZLETON – Some council members on Thursday expressed concern about the shape of the city’s Legal Defense Fund, given a recent motion from the plaintiffs’ attorneys for reimbursement of $2.4 million in legal fees in the Illegal Immigration Relief Act case.

    After a mostly uneventful council meeting, Councilman Robert Nilles asked Barletta how much money was currently in the fund.

    Barletta said the fund stands at about $249,000 “and is increasing.â€
