Yes, agree with MW, Jean, etc.
3 points -
1. There are many very prosperous countries that have essentially flat population growth levels/rates. Conversely, 'just adding bodies' (eg. allowing continued large-scale illegal immigration for many low-skilled folks from the 3rd and 2nd worlds) even if it does produce 'growth', it is very likely it is not the type of growth that will benefit us much, especially in the long run. You have every right (and I'd argue, obligation to make the point).
2. I think the issue of visa abuse and overstays hasn't been emphasized enough by our movement as a whole and ALIPAC as a group as well. It does represent about 40%-45% of the overall problem. As greater border security is implement (I know, I know - roll your eyes as you feel appropriate....), more people that will risk illegal means to get and stay here will increasingly resort to abusing visa entry. The US-Visit system which monitors EXITS desperately needs to be implemented in total (it is 10+ years past it's stated mandated implementation date).
3. The US already allows in a huge number of LEGAL visa-based immigrants at present and about as many ILLEGAL ones as well. We have grown roughly 3 million bodies in a single year (a bit larger than the total population of IOWA). In Nov 2006, we reached the 300 million mark. Today our population is 304,900,000+ and still growing. It's time to slow down population growth, get our policies and enforcement under control, and then think about what levels of immigration we can support and then update the policies to reflect that concerted effort.

A bit dated, but still very effective in this context:

There needs to be an educational class required before leaving high school on family life, children, and taxes.
Divorce is at least 50% for first marriages, second marriage rate is at least 65% and the third marriage rate is at least 75%.
Where can a child develop the skills of working at a relationship if divorce is likely?
A required high school course in relationship and taxes; and the effect of both on an individual truly needs to be understood.Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)
