Updated: Thursday, December 2, 2010, 3:53 PM
The House Rules Committee has been put on standby for a potential DREAM Act meeting later today. If the meeting takes place, there will be a House vote on the DREAM Act tomorrow! Call your House Rep NOW and urge them to oppose DREAM. Capitol Hill switchboard: 202-224-3121. And, check your Action Board for more actions you can take.

She won't bring it to the floor if she doesn't have the votes.
I hope all of these "retiring" Democrats enjoy being at home and facing the people that just voted them out of office if they vote for this. With unemployment at 10% there are a lot of unhappy people that won't appreciate having their opportunities reduced even further to make political gains for a party many don't support.

This is odd - I went to the Rules Committe Website and found this information about their meeting schedule and content. Nothing was listed for the Dream Act. Their last scheduled meeting was December 1.

Sen. Ben Nelson Booed Out of Pizza Parlor
Monday, January 18, 2010
By Sean Hannity
Pie Throwing
You may remember that Nebraska Senator Ben Nelson cast the decisive vote in favor of a government health care takeover after, of course, securing a bundle of money for his home state.
Now it appears that that did not win him any friends in conservative Nebraska. Politico.com reports that Thursday night he and his wife were booed out of an Omaha pizzeria by angry customers who apparently yelled things like, "Get him out of here!"
There may be no consequences in D.C., but it's good to see that the good folks in the Midwest know how to hold their representatives accountable.

House Plans DREAM Act Vote for Next Week
Written by Raven Clabough

While Republicans in the Senate have vowed to block all legislation in the Senate chamber until a decision is made on the federal budget and the Bush tax cuts, Democrats in the House of Representatives indicate that they will continue to move forward on Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid’s DREAM Act legislation.
Earlier this week, all 42 Republican Senators addressed a letter to Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid asserting that they would block any legislation until Congress funds the federal government and addresses the expiring Bush tax cuts.
The GOP’s demands certainly pose a problem for the passage of the DREAM Act or the repeal of “don’t ask, don’t tellâ€Support our FIGHT AGAINST illegal immigration & Amnesty by joining our E-mail Alerts at https://eepurl.com/cktGTn

This was posted as an example only of the problems that politicians have when they don't listen to their constituents and then have to go home and live among them.
Yes, to his great credit, Mr. Nelson is not supporting the DREAM Act.Support our FIGHT AGAINST illegal immigration & Amnesty by joining our E-mail Alerts at https://eepurl.com/cktGTn
