The U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Service (USCIS), in partnership with the Naval Legal Service Office, Southwest, is conducting an immigration and naturalization outreach for military members at Naval Legal Service Office, Southwest, building 56, Naval Base San Diego, on Wednesday, 3 Aug. 3, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.. The purpose of this outreach is to assist service members and their families with immigration and naturalization issues such as, but not limited to, missed interview appointments and naturalization ceremonies; requests for expedited U.S. citizenship processing; and status checks on filed petitions and applications. At the outreach, USCIS can assist with most immigration matters, including complex cases, except asylum and deportation. Interested military members must bring all relevant paperwork, including filed documents, Notices of Action, Alien Registration Number or LIN/WAC Numbers, correspondence, and any other information that pertains to their inquiry or their dependent family member’s case. Appointments are on a walk-in basis, first come first served.

The Naval Legal Service Office is in the same building as the Personnel Support Detachment at Naval Base San Diego. Parking is limited. There may be parking available behind building 56 off Surface Navy Blvd. When possible, please ride a bus, carpool, or walk to the outreach to alleviate parking congestion.

Military personnel and their dependent family members with immigration or naturalization issues are highly encouraged to attend this USCIS outreach. Please disseminate this email to interested personnel within your command.
