WASHINGTON — A Senate committee has agreed to include $100 million for border law enforcement in a bill paying for the Iraq and Afghanistan wars.

Texas Republican Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison added the money to the bill Thursday. She also cosponsored an amendment that provides $200 million for NASA's return to flight program. The war spending bill should get a Senate vote next week.

Meanwhile several Texans Republicans in the House joined other GOP members in withholding their votes to protest non-war spending in the House's Iraq spending bill. That helped defeat the war funding portion of the bill for now.

That's all good, as long as the OBL Texas Border Coalition doesn't get any of the money!

Hmmm........seems someone is attempting to appease the opponents of Senator Feinstein's amnesty. Well, if that is the case, it won't work!
