Hundreds Block Busy L.A. Intersection to Protest Arizona's Immigration Law

    KTLA News
    11:00 AM PDT, July 29, 2010

LOS ANGELES -- Hundreds of protesters have gathered at a busy Los Angeles intersection to demonstrate against Arizona's immigration law.

Police shut down the intersection of Wilshire Boulevard and Highland Avenue in the Mid-Wilshire area and diverted traffic away after demonstrators moved into the street and sat down at about 10 a.m. Thursday.

Many of the protesters say that even though a judge struck down most of the controversial law, they believe the entire law should be thown out.

Arizona's tough anti-immigration law went into effect Thursday.

The protesters chanted, "These are our streets" during the raucous demonstration. Organizers say they are protesting the criminalization of immigration.

Police say there have been no arrests but demonstrators say they will do whatever it takes to call attention to what they call an "unfair" law.

A good example of what happens when foreign nationals invade your country.

The teeth of the law were removed by an activist judge and it still isn't enough for the Brown Prides to stop thier whining...disgusting.
If anyone should be out there "demonstrating" it should be all the pissed of Americans out there - unfortunately we have to go to work to pay for the illegals and thier anchors.

I am really pissed off today.

This is a very busy area, wonder how those rich Hollywood and Beverly Hills elite feel about their cheap domestic help now.

And I am oh-so-sick of immigrants being 'confused' with illegal aliens. The law never intended to 'criminlize immigration.

Oh & could someone clarify for me whether it is now OK for me to visit AZ & leave my GC at home, 'cos apparently it's OK with Susan Bolton. So I just ignore the letter that came with said GC which stated that I had to carry it at all times??

Well, no. You're streets would be somewhere in Mexico City.

What other country, besides the U.S., would allow illegals to behave in this way. Other countries would either throw them in jail or out of the country. Here they get prizes - all kinds of freebies because our sissy government is scared of them.

At the current time, the Federal Government HAS given them our streets, and has prevented state governments from removing them, so as long as Obama is in office it seems what they say is correct.

In any other city these people would have been arrested for doing this. However this is how the police respond in a sanctuary city.
