The only thing it raises is our costs dealing with these people. I've never believed in the self-deportation scheme, I've never believed in federal prisons as "deterrents" where they have a clean bed, 3 meals a day and don't have to break their backs working for it.

Catch and Release means they're waiting for a "hearing" and they're released into the United States and told to show up for a hearing sometime in the future. Please, there goes the obfuscation again ..... your primary weapon. You know good and well I know what catch & release is. I purposely used the term in a different context to make a point. I specifically used the words in this case to show how we catch and then release them back across the border over and over again through deportation with no actual consequences. It's you that conflated my comment with the normal catch & release term. Of course I've learned to expect such behavior from you. When the conversation isn't going your way, you quickly strike to muddle and confuse the conversation as to distract from your losing position. That's a tactic that most of us have become very familiar with and have learned to expect from you.

My knowledge on the issue is no less than yours .. but of course you already know that.
