    IA gets settlement

Well isn’t this just great paying an illegal 1.3million tax payer dollars.
Some how they forget to mention that these were all illegal aliens, driving, at night with no tail lights. Yes the officer was wrong and so were they.
It was never revealed if anyone had a license, if so how did they get it, they we in this country illegally. She should not get payment, be investigated and deported. The family wants justice, me too deport this trash.

On Tuesday, the State of Nevada agreed to pay $1.3 million to the families of four victims killed in a crash that was caused by an NHP Trooper. News 3's Luis Cruz spoke to the sole survivor of that deadly crash who says the money is not important to her. What she wants is justice.

17-year-old Cecilia Lopez Cruz is still hurting from the accident in 2006 that left her emotionally and physically scarred. She was the sole survivor of the crash caused by an NHP Trooper.

Cecilia says she doesn't remember much about the accident. She was three month's pregnant at the time and she spent half a month in the hospital, the first few days in a coma.

Cecilia's husband, 22-year-old Victor De La Cruz, was killed, along with her sister, 22-year-old Reymunda Lopez Vasquez. Also killed were 42-year-old Jose Manuel Sanchez Lopez and family friend, 19-year-old Jose Roberto Mejia Lang.

Trooper Joshua Corcran eventually apologized and plead guilty to felony reckless driving. He was going 113 miles per hour with no lights or sirens on when he crashed into the car. He was sentenced to 2 to 12 years in prison in august of 2006.

Now, the state has agreed to pay 14 of the victims' family members a total of $1.3 million to resolve a lawsuit that alleged negligence and civil rights violations.

Marco Antonio Sanchez Vasquez lost his brother and step-daughter in the crash. He says $1 million, $2 million, $3 million, not even $5 million is going to bring his family members back. "Money is not important to us; what we want is justice," Cecilia says. "He took the lives of four people, including my daughter's father. Who she'll never get to know."

In November, the State Board of Examiners agreed to pay $150,000 to the parents of three of the victims.

If money was not important, why would you sue?

All those people would still be alive if they had stayed in their own country. American's owe them nothing.

Never look at another flag. Remember, that behind Government, there is your country, and that you belong to her as you do belong to your own mother. Stand by her as you would stand by your own mother
