HAMPTON | Three men have been charged with allegedly using fake immigration documents to acquire jobs at a Hampton business.

Agents with Immigration and Customs Enforcement said Adan Colorado-Leon, Bertoldo Colorado-Hernandez and Elder Samayoa-Revolorio, ages unavailable, used fake alien registration and Social Security numbers when they filled out I-9 forms and applied for jobs at Buresh Building Systems.

Bertoldo Colorado and Samayoa allegedly submitted the documents when they were hired in August 2011, and Adan Colorado allegedly applied in May 2013, court records state.

Immigration officials became suspicious in March 2014 when Samayoa and Bertoldo Colorado were involved in a traffic accident in Grand Forks, N.D. The investigation that followed determined that some of the registration numbers belonged to other legal permanent residents, and the Social Security numbers have been issued to others or never issued at all, court records state.

On Friday, immigration agents filed criminal complaints against the three for fraudulent use of identification documents in U.S. District Court in Northern Iowa.
