Assaults on U.S. Custom and Border Protection (CBP) law enforcement personnel jumped 44.8% in Fiscal Year 2017 (FY17) while the number of incidents in which CBP law enforcement used force fell, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) reported Tuesday.

The number of assaults against CBP agents and officers increased from 585 in FY16 to 847 in FY17, resulting in the 44.8% rise, according to CBP’s annual border security report.

Despite the 44.8% surge in attacks on them, the use of force by CBP personnel rose only 2.4% in FY17, from 973 to 996 – and the use of firearms by CBP fell to a record low of 17, down 34.6% from the previous year (26). The 17 separate uses of firearms in FY17 stemmed from 12 incidents involving CBP personnel.

In all, the total number of incidents in which CBP used force declined 22.9%, from 595 in FY16 to 459.

CBP use of force against vehicles and vessels also dropped sharply, falling 33.5% from 137 to 91.

I hope these statistics prove to people that illegal aliens are not nice people, they are not "good ones", they are the dregs fleeing their own country because they can't get along with their own country, so they have no intention of getting along with ours. They have bad motives, bad intentions, and are here to con, steal, run drugs, scam, scheme, commit other crimes and rob our citizens of jobs, wages, benefits, taxes, educations, healthcare and everything else they can get their grubby paws on. It has to stop. It must end now. This is our last chance with this President to end illegal immigration into the US once and for all. Make it happen.
