ICE arrests bust five Tuesday morning

KGNS saw how ICE officers work in Laredo to target people who are not in the U.S. legally.

LAREDO, TEXAS (KGNS) - KGNS joined Immigration and Customs Enforcement early Tuesday morning to see how ICE officers work in Laredo to target people who are not in the U.S. legally.

An early morning roundup by Immigration and Customs Enforcement resulted in arrests of people living in Laredo illegally.

ICE officers moved into several Laredo neighborhoods looking for several people with serious criminal records.

People arrested today were previously arrested by local law enforcement agencies. Violations can compromise a resident's legal status.

Local law enforcement does not enforce immigration laws.

ICE officers arrested five people this morning.

The arrests today included two men previously arrested for sex offenses.
