Questions linger for 25,000 Cubans facing deportation as US-Cuba relations thaw

Questions linger for tens of thousands of Cubans facing deportation as US-Cuba relations thaw

MIAMI — The future is murky for thousands of Cuban immigrants who have outstanding deportation orders as the United States and Cuba inch closer to fully restoring diplomatic ties, including re-opening embassies for the first time in 54 years.

As many as 25,000 Cubans living in the United States are considered priorities for deportation
by immigration enforcement agents, according to data maintained by Immigration and Customs Enforcement. Those priorities include people with serious criminal convictions or who pose a threat to national security.

Those immigrants haven't yet been sent back to Cuba because the government of President Raul Castro has not given them permission to return.

For decades deportation to Cuba has been complicated by the Cuban government's decision not to provide travel documents for most immigrants facing deportation.

    NO AMNESTY

Don't reward the criminal actions of millions of illegal aliens by giving them citizenship.

Call Raul, he was praising this thaw as wonderful to allow people to come and go county to country. He will be happy to oblige now. If not provide than a boat and challenge Raul to sink it. Next.
