It’s not such a silly question.

With all the ideas being thrown around Washington about to do with theL ILLEGAL alien problem, “compensatingâ€

Confiscate everything they own and sell it to help pay for their trip home.

How about we fine every illegal who wants to stay and/or their employer $100,000, and use those funds to remove the remainder? Give them an airplane ticket to the city of their choice, and a few benefits for each anchor baby they take with them?

That's the best solution...every single possession that they accumilate here under false pretenses should be rendered to the state from where they stole it, sold at auction and the proceeds used to incarcerate and deport them!

I oppose this idea vehemently. The word will spread that if you enter the US illegally, they'll give you a nest egg to leave.

Why do otherwise intelligent people fear rounding up and deporting illegal aliens? We round up American Citizens who are lawbreakers and deport them to prison without any qualms at all, so why the concern over rounding up and deporting illegal aliens out of the country?

Bad Idea, again your rewarding law breakers. Enforcement of the laws on the books. E-Verify, 287-G, etc. is the only way to get them to leave on their own. This point has been argued to death.

I have to agree. Our budget deficit in this country cannot handle this, and the way I figure it, it will be my great, great, great, great, great grandchildren will be responsible for paying for the debt unless we quit spending like wild.
The only good thing about our recession is a few folks have moved back. But even that movement has been stifled by this administration promising comprehensive immigration reform soon.
I have no idea where the idea comes that when there is a problem, you throw money at it until it goes away. Sheer stupidity.

I think the author of this article was suggesting using the Foreign Aid money we give other countries and we could take the cost out of the money we owe other countries too.

If it would include changing the law to stop Anchor Babies and truely enforce our immigration laws (including stiff jail sentences,in a tent city) then I think it may be a workable solution.

Lets face it,we are screwed money wise whether they give Amnesty or they don't since our tax dollars subsidize IA's including education for their children at TEN THOUSAND A YEAR per IA child.
