Why would you want to give an illegal alien a national ID to be in the United States when most Americans want them deported?
This national ID is in the legislation that gives amnesty to illegal aliens. We don't want amnesty, we're opposed to it, so we don't want to pass a bill that a) legalizes them b) gives them proof of legalization c) requires Americans to have a national ID who oppose a) and b).
If at some time in the future after illegal aliens have all been deported and if there is some benefit to US to have a national ID, then we can debate that issue within the confines of a national ID for US citizens, but we should never ever discuss it within the context of illegal immigration and legislation designed to legalize it which is what the Schumer-Graham bill does.
I don't want a national ID. I don't want a biometric ID. I don't want an RFID ID. I don't want a Chip ID. I don't want any ID other than my non RFID driver's license issued by a state and/or a US passport issued by the US State Department.

I figured this was some kind of Trojan horse by Graham and Schumer to get illegals amnesty while appearing to be against illegal immigration. This explains everything.

"Trojan horse"
Exactly! That's precisely what it is, LAPhil, a Trojan Horse. Great analogy.
