Group pulls Labrador's ranking on immigration

BOISE, Idaho (AP) - A national group that supports curbs on immigration and called Republican U.S. House hopeful Raul Labrador a "true reformer" has since pulled its ranking, citing an ineligible survey.

NumbersUSA reported as recently as Thursday that Labrador and his Democratic rival, U.S. Rep. Walt Minnick, had earned the "true reformer" label after filling out a survey on immigration, which has become a centerpiece of the race.

NumbersUSA director of government relations Rosemary Jenks says Labrador's campaign provided answers to the survey through e-mail, but did not return a signed survey from the candidate after several requests.

The group requires a signature to verify who filled out the survey.

Labrador spokesman Phil Hardy says the campaign was not aware of the error and plans send in the signed survey to restore Labrador's ranking with the group.
