The children of illegal aliens (anchor babies) have bankrupted the state of California

Illegal immigration...a crime we cannot afford

    SaveOurState.org

In 2009, San Bernardino County spent $64 million providing welfare benefits to U.S.-born children of illegal aliens.

According to county records, during a typical month, close to 15,000 offspring of illegal aliens received either welfare payments or food stamps in 2009. Over 11,000 of those children received both forms of assistance.

Assemblyman Steve Knight, R-Palmdale, told the San Bernardino Sun: "This is a huge burden on our state. Obviously, these kids are U.S. citizens and that's fine. But when you look at it, these parents should have never been here in the first place."

Raymond Herrera, founder and president of We The People California's Crusader, said: "The American people are fed up with illegal aliens depleting our tax dollars by overrunning our schools, our hospitals and our welfare system."

While $64 million more than the county can afford particularly during the current deep recession, it is but a drop in the bucket, when you consider what the entire state of California is paying-out to ‘anchor babies’ and their illegal alien parents.

In August 2009, Los Angeles County Supervisor Michael Antonovich made public the staggering amount which the taxpayers spend on illegal aliens, living in L.A. County. Last June alone, the county paid out $48 million to the children of illegal aliens, an increase of $10 million over June 2007.

$26 million of that total came in the form of food stamps, while another $22 million was given to the illegal alien families in welfare checks.

Assuming that June was a typical month for 2009, Los Angeles County spent nearly $600 million on those two programs last year alone. That is in addition to the more than $1 billion that the county spends annually on the medical treatment, education, emergency services, and incarceration of illegal aliens.

These figures explain why not only L.A. County, but the entire state of California are now in financial ruin. Supervisor Michael Antonovich told reporters that illegal aliens continue to have a “catastrophic impact on Los Angeles County taxpayers.â€

"Save Our State (SOS) is an activist organization opposed to illegal immigration in Southern California. The group also has a chapter in Northern California. As of November 2009, the Saveourstate.org has become inactive and bears the message, "Saveourstate.org forums and website have been closed indefinitely." The Northern California Chapter has since taken over direction of the organization."

Florida is starting to get hit with all those illegal expenses as well. In the past we had more of those who overstayed visas and continued to work in the jobs they had with benefits. They were still illegal but more self sufficient than the border jumpers as I call them. We are having some hospitals close and others cut services to the uninsured. Recently Jackson Health stopped doing kidney dialysis on the unisured. One third of their patients were illegal immigrants according to a report in the Miami Herald.
What I find interesting is that I was watching a crime show that shows real cases this afternoon. It was either one of the Dateline ones or one on MSNBC and it showed a fugitive that fled to Mexcio and ended up in the hospital in a coma after a suicide attempt. The Mexican hospital staff stabilized the guy and had the Red Cross get him to the border and back into the United States. Why don't we just do the same. If we did it would save alot of money which could be used to help the poorer uninsured people or those with plans that don't cover much.

    Nope.

There's never been a "Northern California" branch of Save Our State. There was the old Save Our State effort from the 90's and then the new Save Our State founded in late 2004 by Joe Turner.

Turner turned Save Our State over to Chelene Nightingale. Chelene is now running for Governor of California so Save Our State has gone defunct.

Unfortunately, some of Jim Gilchrist's last remaining allies like Davi Rodriguez and Raymond Herrera have opened up a similar sounding domain on the web and filed some paperwork to try to imitate Save Our State since the vast majority of SOS's supporters came out against Jim Gilchrist over the last two years.

So, the Save Our State actions you are seeing now are not the SOS of the 90's, nor Joe Turner and Chelene's Save Our State, its a bait and switch attempt by Gilchrist cronies.
