Mexican Military Recovers Drugs After Car Ditched in River
Last Update: 1:17 pm
MISSION - A load of drugs is in the hands of the Mexican military after a chase that ended south of Mission.
Palmview police and Border Patrol agents tried pulling over a vehicle just after 9 Thursday morning. The driver refused to stop and led authorities to the banks of the river near Anzalduas Park. That's where the vehicle was ditched in the water.
The Mexican military showed up as people on the Mexican side tried recovering the drugs. The suspects managed to run away, but their load was seized.

There are more drug running vehicles in the border river than most junk yards have. Once a runner dashes to the border in the USA and hits the water he is fre and clear to get away. Border Patrol has orders that prevent them from stopping anyone in the water.
