*Of course, under Sheriff Garry McFadden, the Mecklenburg County Sheriff's Office has adopted a 'sanctuary' policy for illegal aliens, and, as such, will not enforce ICE holds, even for serious crimes.

So, if Rivas-Reyes can simply come up with 10 percent of his bond, to pay a bail bondsman, this accused child predator will be released back onto the streets, in hopes that he keeps his court date.
