MOUNT OLIVE – A 36-year-old man stopped after making an improper turn was turned over to Immigration and Customs Enforcement after he was charged with drunk driving and giving police false identification, police said.

At 1:37 p.m. on Monday, Officer William Galop saw a 2007 Lincoln make an improper left turn out of the Sinclair Gas Station onto Route 46 west so he stopped it, police said.

Galop spoke to the driver, who identified himself as Johnny Flores, and detected the odor of an alcoholic beverage while noticing that Flores appeared to be impaired, police said.

Flores provided Galop with identification from North Carolina that was not valid and a check did not produce a driver’s license, police said.

Flores was placed under arrest, and transported to police headquarters, where he was positively identified through fingerprints as Evelin R. Estrada-Padilla, 36, of Budd Lake.

Estrada-Padilla was asked to perform field sobriety testing at police headquarters, and subsequently refused chemical breath testing. He was charged with DWI, possession of a false government document, hindering own apprehension, refusal to submit to breath testing, improper turns, reckless driving, and unlicensed driver.

In addition, Immigration and Customs Enforcement was contacted when police learned Estrada-Padilla was in the country illegally. ICE agents responded to police headquarters and took custody of him.

Per a 2007 directive from the state attorney general, police departments are required to contact ICE when an illegal immigrant is arrested.

“We have to contact them but it has been my experience that is not typical for them to come out for a DWI and take them,” Mount Olive Police Stephen Beecher said. “This person provided false identification to our officers and it is my believe that is why they came to get him.”

I think illegal aliens across the country should start taking Trump serious, stop the bullshit with there endless annoying protest and be very afraid.

It is a lot easier to pack up and voluntarily leave our country than to be forcibly removed with only the clothes your wearing.

President Trump is in charge of the nation now and he warned you for 16 months he will be the President of law and order.

Obama and his unconstitutional immigration polices are out!

Hand ALL illegals and Visa overstays into the hands of ICE and put them in Federal Tent City on Federal Land for processing. This should go for Refugees, Asylum and any other non-citizens.

Have a panel of Judges like the military and Fast Track them out of here.

Get them OUT of the jurisdiction of the States, Local Jails, and Local Court system. Alleviate the costs to local taxpayers who have to pay for this.
