Illegal Alien Gets Prison Time For Possessing 27 Firearms

Fausto Garcia Zuniga, 39 of Honduras was sentenced to 102 months in prison for being an illegal alien in possession of twenty-seven (27) firearms, in U.S. District Court Tuesday announced United States Attorney Gregory K. Davis.

District Judge Sul Ozerden also ordered Zuniga turned over to immigration authorities after serving his sentence.

Zuniga, who was living in Harrison County, was ordered to forfeit the 27 firearms, ammunition and homemade silencer found by Harrison County Sheriff's Deputies when they responded to a domestic violence call at the residence.

The case was investigated by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives and the Harrison County Sheriff's Department. It was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Annette Williams.
