The Coeur d’Alene Police Department is investigating a homicide that occurred at 2:17am in the vicinity of 3rd and Indiana. The victim is a 21 year old male from the Coeur d’Alene area. He attends college out of the area and had returned home on 050809.

Witnesses stated the victim and his friends were at a local bar, Mik n Maks, and the victim had a verbal altercation with the male suspect. The suspect was asked to leave the bar by the management.

A few hours later at closing time the victim and his friends were walking in the area of 3rd and Indiana. The suspect pulled up to them in his vehicle and fired one shot from a handgun striking the victim in the head. The suspect immediately fled the area. The victim was transported to KMC and was later pronounced clinically dead. His name will not be released due to pending notification of his family.

Police are searching for the following:

Male suspect described as: Hispanic male, early 20’s, short dark colored hair/slightly longer on top, small amount of facial hair on lower chin, 5’4 to 5’8, slender build, slight Hispanic accent, but well spoken English, well dressed in a light colored button up shirt and jeans, and mirrored sunglasses while in the bar. The suspect later was seen wearing a light colored hoodie sweatshirt and a black ball cap on backwards while sitting in his vehicle. Possibly diamond studded ear rings in both ears.

Suspect vehicle: Dark colored passenger car, possibly a 2 door, 1995 to 2000, in the similar style of a Honda Civic or Ford Escort. Custom rims and tail lights, modified exhaust/muffler, hallogen headlights, tinted windows, possible damage on lower portion of driver’s door. The rear window has a 6 to 8 inch sticker with an “Aâ€

My local news just reported that this killer could be an illegal alien. Now they broke in and said that they believe he is an illegal alien. He had no social security number and they believe he was planning to flee back to Mexico. Idaho has the death penalty.

Video of the victim with his little 1 year old daughter. I don't know how to shorten this link. As soon as I can get a story about the killer being illegal, I will move this to News Stories.

Murder suspect Juan C. License Plate # K403694 (Idaho), If we find out for sure he is illegal, we are going to be all over these Senators...How did he get his car registered in Idaho? Did he have an Idaho drivers License? With what ID did he get a job at the restaurant?

I just made a comment in the CDA paper the other day, we now have 11 Mexican Restaurants in CDA and hardly anyone speaks English, I know the restaurants are bringing in illegals to work.

This has been one of our fights with the senators, now we will have them and a whole new argument for us !! and man are they going to get it!! starting with the DMV.
