Illegal alien raped 12-year-old girl in St. Louis park

On Wednesday, a St. Louis County jury found Juan C. Urbano, 20, guilty of the statutory rape of a 12-year-old girl.

Urbano lured the girl to a park in Breckenridge Hills in 2011, where he raped her, according to prosecutors.
The two became acquainted through Facebook.
The victim reported the assault to school officials as well as to police, but later tried to recant her story while testifying against Urbano.
Under questioning, Urbano admitted to detectives what he had done.
The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported:

The evidence against Urbano included a transcript from a jailhouse conversation he had in Spanish with his parents during which he discussed his involvement.

Strangely enough, the The girl's mother actually testified for the defense.
Urban is scheduled for sentencing on August 23. He faces five years up to life in prison.
