An illegal alien living in Prince George's County was sentenced to 11 years in prison for recruiting a pregnant teenage runaway into working as a prostitute for violent street gang MS-13.

Twenty-eight-year-old Yanira Del Carmen Guerrero Andrade befriended the 15-year-old girl in a time of need, and lured her into a life of sex for money with men around the D.C. region.

"Andrade took advantage of a vulnerable, scared, teenage runaway, and instead of helping her, she prostituted her through a gang," said Ken Cuccinelli, Virginia attorney general. "What is even more sinister is that she took advantage of a young pregnant mother, creating two victims of her crime."

According to an affidavit filed in federal court in Alexandria, Guerrero Andrade first met the pregnant teenager in 2008 at a nightclub in Hyattsville, after the girl had run away from home.

Guerrero Andrade helped the victim find a place to stay with an MS-13 associate and then recruited her to work as a prostitute for the gang, answering to Guerrero Andrade's boyfriend. Guerrero Andrade was previously arrested for prostitution in Chesterfield in 2009.

On the first day as a prostitute, the girl had sex with about 17 men, and on the third day she had sex with 25 customers.

After having sex with more than a dozen men, she was crying and asked Guerrero Andrade and her boyfriend if she could stop because she was sore. The couple pressed her to continue.

Guerrero Andrade and her boyfriend kept a portion of the proceeds that the victim earned. Customers were charged $30 for 15 minutes. The boyfriend also charged the girl for rent.

Guerrero Andrade knew that the victim was less than 18 years old and instructed her to use an alias and say that she was 20 years old.

Guerrero Andrade also allegedly introduced the victim to other men besides her boyfriend so the victim could work as a prostitute for them.

Several customers allegedly requested the victim specifically because she looked young.

Guerrero Andrade's boyfriend, Julio Revolorio-Ramos, previously pleaded guilty to sex trafficking of a child, and was sentenced to 15 years.

This case was investigated by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement's Homeland Security Investigations, with assistance from the Northern Virginia Human Trafficking Task Force.

Founded in 2004, the Northern Virginia Human Trafficking Task Force is a collaboration of federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies -- along with nongovernmental organizations -- dedicated to combating human trafficking and related crimes.
