WASHINGTON — The Senate Democrat leading the push for immigration changes said Tuesday verifying the legal status of workers will require citizens and immigrants to prove they are legally eligible to hold jobs in the U.S.

Sen. Charles Schumer, chairman of the immigration subcommittee of the Senate Judiciary Committee, said he envisions a workforce verification system that relies on an electronic identifier, known as biometrics, such as fingerprints.

“In order to completely prevent future waves of illegal immigation, we must recognize that no matter what we do on the border an at our ports of entry, jobs are what draw ilegal immigrants to the United States,â€

Whoa, whoa, stop right there, shoemaker, what do you mean by that? Are you insinuating that what we do at our borders and ports is not as near important as workplace enforcement? Does this mena open borders continuously? If so, for what reason?

Schumer is thinking he can fancy-dance around the central issue: Illegal immigrants have flooded our country and we are fed up with them. We have welcomed people of every color, race, religion, language background, etc. into our nation---but this one particular group is bent on establishing control within the US and enforcing their demands. They have already pestered the current President to appoint a great number of people that uniquely suit their interest.

Please write to Sen Schumer and tell him that we want nothing less than a halt to any further discussions of "comprehensive immigration reform" and a cessation of employment and social benefits for illegal aliens. Our nation is NOT secure---despite what Napolitano and Clinton are doing to combat drug cartels. We have unprecedented meddling in our internal affairs by foreign nations and interests and the local citizenry have been increasingly saddled with the expenses of the fallout of illegal immigration.
